Mechanic – McAllen, TX Terminal
Position Summary
TFA Logistics is looking to hire a mechanic for our diesel mechanic shop at our terminal in McAllen, TX. This position will require the employee to be able to perform inspections, perform repairs and maintenance as needed on tractors and trailers. They will also be required to maintain the shop environment and perform curbside repairs as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to: Managing the parts and services database, evaluating vehicle condition through routine inspections, maintaining vehicle records, inspecting equipment thoroughly to ensure state and federal regulations are met, performing facility maintenance as needed, and communicating with team members in an effective and professional manner.
Job Qualifications
• High School Diploma
• Valid Driver’s License
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• Basic computer operations knowledge
• Able to lift 50 pounds repetitively
• Able to stand for prolonged periods of time
